Google is rolling out a new Google bar that will enable you to navigate quickly between our services, as well as share the right stuff with the right people easily on Google+.
Google Revamps its Navigation Bar Again, Gets Rid of Annoying Dropdown Menu. Did you like the new one ? fb.me/1GlTvupId— Latest News From Web (@Linkstoweb) February 10, 2012
The updated version gets rid of the black background, but integrates Google+ and the search box into the same section of screen real estate as each webapp's logo (as opposed to pushing it into a bar at the top of the screen). To switch between Google apps, you'll have to hover over the current app icon and select other apps from the drop-down.
It's hardly life changing, but the big thing the change does is bring Google+ front, center, and integrated even more directly with the rest of your Google apps. For some, that might be refreshing; for others, annoying. But Google's clearly into this whole Google+ thing.
After going throw the new design I have a Question for Google, Why is it so big? It wastes a bunch of space the same way the Google Reader redesign wastes a bunch of space.
We're not seeing it yet, but like most Google rollouts of this kind, you can likely expect it in a browser near you within the next few days.
